Semolina Pudding with Cinnamon Recipe

  • Author: Aiden
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

This creamy semolina pudding is a comforting and easy-to-make dessert, combining warm milk with semolina, sugar, and fragrant cinnamon. Perfect for a cozy treat, it offers a smooth texture and subtle sweetness, topped with cinnamon or your favorite jams, fruits, or nuts to add a personalized touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 600 ml milk (full fat or semi-skimmed) (2 ½ cups)
  • 45 g semolina (¼ cup / 12 teaspoons)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat Milk and Sugar: Pour the milk into a pan and bring it to a boil over medium heat together with the sugar and half of the ground cinnamon, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Add Semolina: Gradually sprinkle in the semolina while whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Continue to whisk and cook for about 2 minutes until the pudding thickens slightly and starts to bubble.
  3. Finish and Serve: Remove the pan from heat and transfer the pudding into a serving bowl. Top with the remaining ground cinnamon, or add your choice of jam, fresh fruit, or nuts for extra flavor and texture before serving.

Notes

  • To avoid lumps, add the semolina slowly while whisking continuously.
  • Use full-fat milk for creamier pudding and a richer taste.
  • Adjust sugar amount according to your sweetness preference.
  • Serving warm or chilled both taste delicious.
  • For a vegan version, substitute milk with plant-based milk alternatives, keeping in mind flavor may vary.
