  • Author: Aiden
  • Total Time: 22 minutes
  • Yield: 8 cheese bombs 1x

Description

Pillsbury Biscuit Garlic Butter Cheese Bombs are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer featuring flaky biscuit dough filled with gooey mozzarella cheese. Brushed with a flavorful garlic butter and Italian seasoning mixture, these cheesy bites bake to a golden perfection, making them perfect for sharing at parties or enjoying as a savory snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Biscuit Dough and Cheese

  • 1 container refrigerated biscuit dough (16 oz, 8 biscuits)
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese (shredded or diced string cheese)

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 4 tbsp melted butter (half a stick)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Biscuits: Open the refrigerated biscuit dough container and separate the 8 biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your hands to create enough space for the cheese filling.
  3. Prepare Cheese: Cut the mozzarella cheese into 8 equal pieces. Place one piece of cheese in the center of each flattened biscuit dough round.
  4. Shape Cheese Bombs: Fold the edges of the biscuit dough around the cheese, pinching the seams tightly to seal. Roll each sealed biscuit into a smooth ball shape, then place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to create a flavorful garlic butter glaze.
  6. Brush and Bake: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each biscuit ball. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and puffed up.
  7. Finish and Serve: Remove the cheese bombs from the oven and brush with any remaining garlic butter for extra flavor and shine. Serve warm with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • Use either shredded mozzarella or string cheese cut into pieces for the filling.
  • Make sure to pinch the edges tightly so the cheese doesn’t leak out during baking.
  • For extra flavor, you can sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
  • Serve immediately for the best gooey cheese experience.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or microwave but are best eaten fresh.
