Ingredients
Scale
Biscuit Dough and Cheese
- 1 container refrigerated biscuit dough (16 oz, 8 biscuits)
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese (shredded or diced string cheese)
Garlic Butter Topping
- 4 tbsp melted butter (half a stick)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Biscuits: Open the refrigerated biscuit dough container and separate the 8 biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your hands to create enough space for the cheese filling.
- Prepare Cheese: Cut the mozzarella cheese into 8 equal pieces. Place one piece of cheese in the center of each flattened biscuit dough round.
- Shape Cheese Bombs: Fold the edges of the biscuit dough around the cheese, pinching the seams tightly to seal. Roll each sealed biscuit into a smooth ball shape, then place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to create a flavorful garlic butter glaze.
- Brush and Bake: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each biscuit ball. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and puffed up.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the cheese bombs from the oven and brush with any remaining garlic butter for extra flavor and shine. Serve warm with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
Notes
- Use either shredded mozzarella or string cheese cut into pieces for the filling.
- Make sure to pinch the edges tightly so the cheese doesn’t leak out during baking.
- For extra flavor, you can sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
- Serve immediately for the best gooey cheese experience.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or microwave but are best eaten fresh.
