Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Base
- 1 Brownie mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 package Oreo cookies with orange filling (approximately 15 cookies)
Frosting
- 1 can milk chocolate frosting
- 1 can white or vanilla frosting
- Orange food coloring gel (1 teaspoon)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy removal.
- Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, oil, and milk. Stir or beat until the batter is smooth and free of lumps to ensure even baking.
- Prepare Pan: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Arrange Oreo cookies with orange filling on top, gently pressing them into the batter so they partially sink but remain visible on top.
- Bake: Bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once baked, allow the brownies to cool completely to room temperature before frosting.
- Prepare Frosting: While the brownies cool, mix the white or vanilla frosting with the orange cream from 10 of the Oreos and add 1 teaspoon of orange food coloring gel to create a vibrant orange frosting with enhanced Halloween flair.
- Frost Brownies: Spread the prepared orange frosting evenly over the cooled brownies. Place the frosted brownies in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to let the frosting set firmly.
- Top and Decorate: After the orange frosting has set, spread milk chocolate frosting over the top. Then crumble the remaining Oreo cookies and sprinkle them generously on top for an added texture and decorative effect.
- Serve: Cut the brownies into 3×2-inch squares and serve, perfect for parties or festive gatherings.
Notes
- Ensure the brownies are completely cooled before frosting to prevent melting and running of the frosting.
- Use parchment paper to line the baking pan for easy removal and clean edges.
- Adjust the amount of orange food coloring to achieve your preferred shade of orange.
- The Oreo cookies’ orange filling complements the festive Halloween theme but regular Oreos can be used if preferred.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness and frost texture.
