Description

Delightfully festive Melted Snowman Cookie Dough Bites combine soft edible cookie dough balls with a smooth white chocolate ganache base, playful mini Oreo hats, and charming sugar pearl decorations. These no-bake, bite-sized treats are perfect for holiday parties or winter-themed gatherings, featuring a fun assembly process that turns classic ingredients into adorable snowman-shaped snacks.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough

  • 2 cups store-bought or homemade edible cookie dough

Decorations & Assembly

  • 9 mini Oreos, separated and frosting scraped off
  • 18 Rolo chocolate candies
  • 18 snowflake sprinkles (optional)
  • Black and orange pearl sprinkles, for decorating

Ganache

  • 2 cups (240 g) white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Freeze Cookie Dough Balls: Portion cookie dough into 1-tablespoon scoops on a parchment-lined baking sheet to make 18 evenly sized balls. Place the tray in the freezer until the dough is very firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare Oreos: While dough chills, carefully separate the mini Oreos and scrape off the frosting from each half. Set the clean Oreo halves aside for assembling snowman hats.
  3. Melt Ganache: In a medium heatproof bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 15-second increments, stirring after each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth, roughly 45 seconds to 1 minute total.
  4. Create Ganache Bases: Spoon eighteen 1-inch diameter rounds of the melted ganache onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. These will serve as the base for each cookie dough bite. Reserve the leftover ganache for dipping and assembling.
  5. Assemble Oreo Hats: Dip the smaller end of each Rolo candy into the remaining ganache, then attach it to the flat side of a cleaned Oreo half to form a snowman hat. Optionally, dip a snowflake sprinkle into ganache and attach it to the hat’s rim where the Rolo meets the Oreo for added festive detail.
  6. Coat Cookie Dough Balls and Decorate: Roll each frozen dough scoop into a smooth ball. Using a fork, dip one dough ball completely into the ganache to coat, then gently press it onto a ganache base on the baking sheet. Before the chocolate sets, decorate each snowman by placing two black sugar pearls as eyes, three to four black sugar pearls arranged in a semicircle as a mouth, and one orange sugar pearl in the center as the nose. Finally, place the Oreo hat on top of each snowman’s head. Repeat this process for all dough balls.
  7. Set Before Serving: Allow the chocolate coating to set completely, about 15 to 20 minutes, before serving these adorable Melted Snowman Cookie Dough Bites.

Notes

  • Use edible cookie dough safe for raw consumption to avoid any food safety issues.
  • If preferred, homemade cookie dough can be substituted with favorite recipes that contain no raw eggs.
  • Snowflake sprinkles are optional but add a lovely winter theme touch.
  • Ensure the ganache has cooled slightly but remains pliable for easier dipping and assembly.
  • Keep cookie dough bites refrigerated if not serving immediately to maintain shape and freshness.
