  • 5 tbsp sugar (separate 1 tbsp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) to ensure it’s hot and ready when you prepare the bread crusts.
  2. Cut Bread Crusts: Cut the bread crusts into pieces approximately 3 cm (1.5 inches) in size for even toasting and easy snacking.
  3. Toss in Butter: Place the bread crust pieces in a large bowl and drizzle the melted butter over them. Use your hands to toss and coat the crusts evenly with the butter.
  4. Add Sugar and Cinnamon: Sprinkle 4 tablespoons of sugar and the cinnamon over the butter-coated crusts, then toss again to ensure the mixture is evenly distributed.
  5. Arrange on Baking Trays: Spread the coated bread crusts evenly over two baking trays to allow for even baking and crispiness.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 5 to 8 minutes until the crusts turn golden brown and crunchy. Keep an eye on the trays as the top tray will finish earlier than the bottom one, which may need a couple more minutes.
  7. Add Final Sugar Sprinkle: While the bread crust treats are still hot, sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar over both trays (about 1/2 tablespoon per tray). This adds an extra sugary sparkle and enhances appearance.
