Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Base
- 1 ball pizza dough
- 1 tsp olive oil
Toppings
- 4 chorizo sausage links, diced (see notes for alternate options)
- 1/2 cup red onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup poblano pepper, diced
- 3/4 cup mango, diced
- 1 ball burrata cheese
- 1/4 cup goat cheese
- Microgreens for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
- Prepare the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness, then transfer it carefully onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Cook the Chorizo: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced chorizo and cook for about 8 minutes until it becomes crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the chorizo from the skillet, allowing excess oil to drain, then evenly distribute it over the prepared pizza dough.
- Add Vegetables and Mango: Layer the red onion slices, diced poblano pepper, and diced mango evenly over the chorizo on the pizza dough, creating a colorful and flavorful topping base.
- Bake the Pizza: Place the baking sheet with the topped pizza into the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, allowing the crust to start baking and toppings to warm through.
- Add Cheeses: Remove the pizza from the oven and distribute the burrata cheese ball torn into pieces along with crumbled goat cheese on top of the partially baked pizza.
- Finish Baking: Return the pizza to the oven for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, or until the cheeses have melted and the crust turns golden brown and crisp.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, sprinkle fresh microgreens on top for a fresh, peppery flavor, slice into servings, and enjoy your Chorizo Mango Pizza while warm.
Notes
- If you prefer a milder flavor or do not have chorizo sausage, you can substitute with spicy Italian sausage or smoked turkey sausage for a different twist.
- To prevent a soggy crust, drain cooked chorizo well before adding it to the pizza.
- Poblano peppers can be substituted with poblano or mild green bell peppers if desired.
- Fresh mango must be ripe but firm to maintain texture after baking.
- Microgreens add a fresh finish but can be omitted if unavailable.
